The 9th York Annual Symposium and Mini-Courses on Game Theory

Event format: 
The 2018 York Annual Symposium will be held at the Department of Economics and Related Studies, University of York. Before the Symposium, on 6 June, we will run two mini-courses (precise topics to be announced in due course), given by Professor Lawrence Ausubel and Professor Richard McLean, respectively.

The four keynote speakers of the Symposium (7-8 June 2018) are: 

  • Lawrence Ausubel (Maryland)
  • Ian Jewitt (Oxford)
  • Richard McLean (Rutgers)
  • Balázs Szentes (LSE)
We now call for participation of the symposium and mini-courses that are open to all academics, PhD students and early career researchers.
The event is organised by the Economic Theory Research Cluster at the Department of Economics and Related Studies (DERS), University of York. The financial support from the DERS Research Impact Support (RIS) Fund is gratefully acknowledged.


To participate in the symposium and/or the mini-courses, please make an application (with your CV and a brief motivating email) to no later than 30 April 2018.  
The Symposium is free of charge for all participants.  
About accommodation: 
We do not provide organised accommodation. Participants are advised to search and book accommodation on their own, which nowadays is easy to arrange thanks to many hotel booking websites. York has a wide range of hotels as well as B&Bs of decent quality, with reasonable prices.
